Quick Customized Greeting Cards
Send a message from the heart with just a few minutes' work.

Even in the digital age, everyone loves the thoughtfulness of a homemade card. With the right supplies, you can make them in just minutes, and at a cost of about half the price of basic store-bought cards.
What you'll need
Before you begin, make sure you have all the supplies you'll need. The list below contains all the products we used to create the example shown in this tutorial. Materials are optional based upon your own design.
- Greeting Cards with Envelopes
- Cardstock (we used Luscious)
- Decorative Film (we used Hearts) and/or Paper (we used Jute Fiber)
- Scrap Paper
- Wood Tape
- Green Felt
- Craft Glue Stick
- Adhesive Crystals (we used Ruby - Variety)
- Dimensional Letters (we used Rainboots and Tinsel)
- Stickers or other Embellishments, if desired
1. A Little Background
Measure and cut jute paper approximately 1" shorter than the size of the card front. Center and glue to front of card using glue stick.
2. Have a Heart (Or Three)
Cut heart shapes from cardstock and film and affix to card with glue stick.
3. A Message of Love
Add letters to the card. Tip: work inward from the edge of your card to make sure you will have enough room for all of your letters.
4. Add Some Sparkle
Affix adhesive crystals as accents around heart shapes. Variety packs offer four different sizes if you want some variation in your design.
5. Paper Patchwork
For the next card, look through the paper scrap pack and choose your favorites to glue onto the card in a patchwork style.
6. Roll Tape
Measure, cut, and apply wood tape as trim to neaten the edges of your card.
7. Final Steps
As in Step 4, add your message to your card using dimensional letters.
