North East Watercolor Society
The North East Watercolor Society was formed by Babette Roy and Don Selchow at a small bistro in Woodstock, New York. The NEWS was established under the inspiration of internationally famous teacher and artist, John Pike, whose students formed the nucleus of its charter membership. The first formal meeting, at Roy's Warwick home, included the fifteen charter members who named the organization "The Orange County Watercolor Society" and expressed the aim of the organization, the "promotion and preservation of watercolor painting." Membership expanded with the introduction of the National Juried Show in 1976 and, with revision of the by laws, the name of the organization was changed to the North East Watercolor Society to reflect the wide range of membership. The October juried exhibition is held now at the Gallery of the Kent Art Association, Kent, CT, and boasts some of today’s finest and most renowned watercolorists. The Association sponsors two workshops with nationally known artists and two demonstrations as well as at least one member show per year.

This is the red we've all been waiting for! It is a deep, darker red, but not mahogany in color at all. Of all the reds I have in my collection, this is by far my favorite. One layer is perfect, but as you paint over it again, it remains true to its color, in a darker hue, of course. Thank you TH!

The ranger inks are tried and true. I've been using them since 2016. Brilliant colors and non of my paintings have ever had any fading issues. Misterart pricing is fantastic, the arrive so fast and in great condition. Misterart has been a life saver for me because I often need them quickly for classes I teach.

I previously stored the ink pads in one of my drawers upside down, but really needed the room so I had to find another solution. I've seen this many times before but never gave it much thought. I ordered five of them as my Distress inks collection is not huge (yet ;) and I was really, really happy to be able to see what I have AND have them neatly stored. As much as I love them, they are a bit bulky and will take up a bit of real estate. They stack very nicely, one on top of the other. I think this is smart storage.
