Since 1917, the Concord Art Association has been a center for the visual arts in Concord, Massachusetts. Founded by the American impressionist painter, Elizabeth Wentworth Roberts, the association moved to the c.1750 Jonathan Ball House purchased by Miss Roberts in 1922. Concord Art Association seeks to promote and support contemporary art and artists through exhibitions and educational programming. Concord Art Association is a non-profit, membership-based organization, comprised of artists, educators and supporters of the arts. Membership is inclusive, providing avenues of exposure and training to students and professionals alike. Members of the Concord Art Association work in a variety of styles and media including painting, printmaking, photography, fiber and sculpture.
